Brandon does the Double! - London Marathon and Lewa Safari Marathon

I will be running the London Marathon on 26th April 2026 and the Lewa Safari Marathon on 27th June 2026 to raise vital funds for Tusk. That's a total of over 50 miles of racing.

I'll be taking on the London Marathon in a head-to-toe zebra outfit. The breathability and suitability of the outfit for marathon running is low at best. Add to that the potential for high spring temperatures or rain (which will potentially double the weight of the already heavy outfit), or even both and it gives an idea of the additional challenge facing me.

After a short cool-down and few weeks of top-up training I'll be taking on the Lewa Safari Marathon, at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya. Given the high temperatures, humidity, unfavourable terrain and challenging altitude, the Lewa challenge is more than just a London lap of honour. It's seen as one of the toughest marathons in the world.

These are big commitments, both in terms of the physical challenge of race day itself (x 2) but also the endless hours of training leading up to the start line. It would be amazing to make those dark, cold, wet, early mornings worth it by raising an incredible amount.
